Oral antibacterials (acne)
Oxytetracycline may take up to 6 months of compliant use in order to achieve maxiumum benefit.
Pregnancy - tetracyclines should be avoided.
Severe acne requires oral antibiotics and referral for consideration of isotretinoin for treatment failures.
