Allergen-Type Vaccines

Pharmalgen bee and wasp venom - following discontinuation of the lower strengths the higher strength product requires dilution. Dilution instructions are included in the summary of product characteristics. Health care professionals should be aware that errors in the dilution process could lead to administration of a higher dose which may put patients at risk of an allergic reaction. Pharmalgen is an option for the treatment of IgE-mediated bee and wasp venom allergy. It is available from specialist treatment centres only.

Grazax is a mixture of grass and tree pollen extracts used to treat seasonal allergic hay fever. It must be initiated by a physician experienced in treating allergic conditions.
