Antivirals (eye infection)

Treatment of viral eye infections may be needed for up to 3 weeks and should continue for at least 3 days after healing is complete.

Please note: ganciclovir eye gel is more cost-effective than aciclovir eye ointment, but aciclovir is the preferred choice in pregnant women.
