Drug Safety Update
January 2016: Nicorandil should be reserved for patients with stable angina inadequately controlled by first line drugs or where first line agents are contraindicated/not tolerated. Nicorandil can cause serious skin, mucosal and eye ulceration which persists unless treatment is stopped.
December 2014: Ivabradine is associated with a risk of bradycardia, atrial fibrillation and other cardiac side effects. Check contraindications and cautions for prescribing.
