Gonadotrophin-Releasing Hormones

DanazolĀ has androgenic activity with antioestrogenic and antiprogestogenic activity. It is licensed for the treatment of endometriosis and for the relief of severe pain and tenderness in benign fibrocystic breast disease where other measures have proved unsatisfactory. It may also be used in the treatment of hereditary angioedema (unlicensed).

Gonadorelin analogues: goserelin and leuprorelin are used in the treatment of endometriosis, infertility treatment and before intrauterine surgery.

Goserelin recommended as the first line product for gynaecological indications.

Triptorelin is the first choice agent for locally advanced and metastatic prostate cancer
